Zion Zahir, better known by his producer name ZION, is a producer and artist based out the California Bay Area where he grew up. Ever since a young age he always gravitated towards playing instruments and creating music. Growing up in a household that was full of music from all types of genres, he found his influence in artists like Kanye West, The Neptunes, Mos Def, Led Zeppelin, RadioHead, and many others. As he got older, he began to wear his influences on his sleeve in the music that he created. He finds inspiration from other producers and artists such as Metro Boomin, Kenny Beats, Logic, No I.D, and other artists from his generation. He started playing the Piano when he was 4 years old, later developing a love for the Drum Set, which soon became his favorite instrument, as well as his best. Next to Drums and Piano, ZION can also play the Guitar, Bass, Cello, Violin, and an assortment of percussive instruments. He played drums with the Monterey Jazz Festival Honor Jazz Band for 4 years, later quitting to focus more on producing and recording. ZION produces, records, arranges, and engineer's his music using Logic Pro X.
